Cloudy headlights, clear again.
We sand off the yellowed, oxidized layer, polish the lens back to clear, and seal it against the sun. You see better at night and the front of your car looks years newer. We are a mobile service, so we come to you.

Cloudy on the left. Restored on the right.
It is the plastic, not the bulb.
Sun breaks down the coating
Modern lenses are polycarbonate with a thin factory UV coat. Years of sun wear that coat away and the plastic underneath oxidizes yellow.
Haze scatters your light
A cloudy lens throws the beam in every direction instead of down the road, so you see less at night and other drivers see you later.
Wiping it does not last
Toothpaste and quick-wipe kits shine the surface for a few weeks. The damaged layer has to come off and the lens has to be sealed again.
Headlight Restoration
Mask and clean
Paint and trim around each lamp are taped off, and the lens is washed down to bare plastic.
Wet sand
The oxidized layer is cut away by hand, moving through finer and finer grits until the surface is even.
Polish
Compound and a machine polish take out the sanding marks and bring the lens back to clear.
UV seal
A fresh UV-blocking coat goes on to replace the factory one, so the clarity holds up in the sun.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is restoring cheaper than replacing?
Almost always. New headlight assemblies are sold per side and many cost several hundred dollars each before fitting. Restoration keeps your original lamps and fixes the part that has failed, the outer surface.
How long will it stay clear?
Every restoration comes with a 1-year warranty. The UV seal is what makes it last. It does the job the factory coating used to do. Parking in shade and washing the lenses with the rest of the car help it last longer.
Can every headlight be restored?
Haze, yellowing and light scratches on the outside come off. Cracks, and moisture or fogging on the inside of the lens, need a repair or replacement. Send a photo if you are not sure.
How long does it take, and where?
Most jobs take 45 to 90 minutes, depending on how much restoration your headlights need. We are a mobile service, so we meet you at your address and complete the restoration there.
